Q: What does Black Bird Farm's set-up and tear-down entail?
A: Our staff takes care of setting up all of our tables, chairs, and wedding props for you before your rental begins so that when you arrive on your wedding day, all of the heavy lifting is already taken care of! At the end of the night, Black Bird staff will put away all of our tables, chairs, and props, as well as remove any non-food trash from the event space.
Q: Can I add my own decorations to the barn?
A: We invite all of our couples to decorate and make Black Bird Farm their own! We will be happy to assist you with any extra lighting or other decor you would like to incorporate into what is already there. Any decorations that you add to the space are your responsibility, as anything left behind after the rental period will likely be discarded during our staff's clean up process.
Q: How many people comfortably fit at a 60" round table?
A: 8 Adults
Q: Does Black Bird Farm have a curfew?
A: In accordance with Putnam County ordinance, Black Bird Farm has a curfew of 11:00pm. This means all reception festivities must be concluded with guests exiting no later than 11:00pm.
Q: Do you allow alcohol and can we bring our own?
A: Yes we do allow alcohol service in accordance with local and state Laws. As a venue rule, all alcohol must be served to guests by a licensed caterer or bartender (no self served alcohol allowed).
Q: Does the barn come with the string lights and uplighting or is that added for each event?
A: We have the option to dress the barn up with bistro string lights, secondary indirect light, and exterior barn lighting as part of the permanent barn package.
Q: What is Black Bird Farm's max capacity?
A: The barn is 4500 square feet, with a max seated capacity of 200. There is also room for a large tent on the lawn next to the barn for a maximum venue capacity of 500 guests.
Q: What if foul weather does not allow for an outdoor ceremony?
A: Black Bird is fully capable of hosting a ceremony inside the barn in the event of inclement weather. For parties of 200 or more, we highly suggest renting a tent to provide another covered space for guests.
